HOG Wild Sunday With a Twist ~ June 14, 2009

HOG Wild Sunday is still the second Sunday of June but this year the focus is on the Teen Challenge Farm in Lambeth, Ontario and so there are a few changes.

9:30 AM: Registration will be earlier. The registration table will open at 9:30 and there will be coffee. tea and other refreshments available. The cost for registration is $10 per person and it covers your food for the day. Drink a coffee, eat a muffin and visit with your friends until 10:15. We are also asking each registrant to bring a small personal item for the guys at Teen Challenge. You can find a list of what's needed at www.tcfarm.org/needs. The donation gas tank will be at the registration table and there will also be a free will offering taken up in the afternoon. This money will all be for Teen Challenge. If you are writing a cheque please make it payable to Teen Challenge.

10:15 AM: Garage Time: Tune In and Tune Up
We will join together in the large blue room for God time. There will be music, the biker blessing and a timely message from Pastor Joel.

11:30 AM: Make sure your gas tank is full when you arrive because it's time to leave. That's right, we are leaving the parking lot and heading to the Teen Challenge Farm. Bikes will lead the way, and those unable to ride can follow along in their other vehicle of choice.

12:30 PM: The barbecue is on, and we'll be eating once everyone has arrived. Lunch is included with your registration fee. For those who have not already registered, there will be a registration table at the Farm.

1:30 PM: The Roar of God's Victory
Don't you just love hearing stories of how God stepped into a hopeless situation and turned everything around? I sure do! Next on the agenda is hearing the stories of how God has reached in and turned around the lives of the young men living at the farm. We will also be taking up a free will offering during this time in the afternoon with the proceeds all going to Teen Challenge. If you write a cheque please make it out to Teen Challenge.

2:30 PM: Let's Play Ball!
Don't forget to bring your runners because we'll going to compete in a healthy game of baseball. You can't hit the ball? Who cares. This is just a fun game of ball. Pastor Joel will divide all the players into two teams and then it's time to play. It's not your traditional game. Each inning will let the entire team have a turn at bat, and then it's time to switch. The winning team will be the side with the most runs.

That's all folks!
Once the ball game is over, you can visit for a while, or head out for your favourite ice cream shoppe. If you don't have a regular church home, come join us at New Life. You don't even have to wait until June to come.

NLCC ~ the Church by the Water Tower

"The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with My word. I send it out and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.“
Isaiah 55:10-11
